Making money online would be an absolute dream come true for many people. If they can just find a way to make money with a site or some other online venture, they might quit their job to concentrate on entrepreneurship, spend more time with their loved ones, and ultimately take control of their time and their lives.
Finally, the good news is here. Most online revenue strategies aren't complicated at all. As with any business venture, it takes time for your online revenue to expand. You should be willing to devote the time and effort needed to get your project off the ground, and you will need consistency to stick to it even if your journey starts slow.
If you're aiming online to earn money but aren't sure where to begin, here are several of the easiest and most practical strategies to consider:
#1: Google Adsense
If you have visited any of the websites, you have seen advertisements from Google. All over, and for good reason. These are not only easy to set up on any specific website, but they can also be lucrative once the website begins to pull in a steady amount of traffic.
One of the cool stuff about Google AdSense is that setup is so simple. If you do have a blog or website, you can register for free account on Google AdSense. Google will give you a special code, which you will paste into your website.
Google takes over from there, tracking in your name your page views, traffic and earnings. No maintenance or maintenance is needed to get this thing going, making it a no-brainer if you already have a web site.
How much you can earn? I think my best month in the last five years with Google AdSense has been almost $7,000. That amazing month took my breath away, as it was really close to the beginning of my blogging career.
#2: Affiliate Marketing
You can also look at affiliate marketing, whether you have a website or are still thinking up ideas for a blog. You partner with brands and businesses with affiliate marketing within the content of your website.
If you take into account a product or service, you get a unique affiliate code which you received when you signed up for that particular affiliate program to link to that product or service. From there, every time someone purchases a product or service through your link you'll earn money.
Another way of making money online is through consultancy. If you are an expert in any field, you might find people who are willing to pay you to advise them on their personal or business objectives. You could think you're not relevant enough to consult for big firms, but you might be surprised at what kind of expertise people will pay for.
#4: Online Courses
If you have any skills that you can educate others, an online course that you can market online can be set up too. Online courses can be found which teach anything from cooking to marketing and even freelance writing.
Many people create their course online through a website like Teachable.com. You can publish your training materials with Teachable, and use the platform to manage clients and accept payments.
#5: Book Sales
When the publishing industry used to be strong in print, these days you can complete the entire process of writing, publishing, and selling a book online. Websites such as Create Space can allow you to publish and print your book without having a professional publisher and you can also get your book on Amazon.com so that people can buy it there.
#6: Lead Sales
Another way online to make money is by capturing leads. The key steps that you need to for do lead sales to work is setting up a website, bringing traffic to that website, and making sure that you are gathering leads that someone is actually paying for.
In essence, lead buyers are ready to pay for the personal details that is gathered from people visiting my website. For everyone this is a win - win since I get compensated for the leads and my website visitors are linked to someone who can assist them.
#7: Freelance Writing
If you have expertise in writing and creative talent, you can also get paid for creating content online. I'm not doing that like I used to to, but I'm well aware of how workable this revenue stream is.
The best way to make it as a freelance writer, is to find out a niche, network with people who might hire you, and produce 100 per cent of the time high-quality content. Although there are plenty of writing jobs to help you get started, it's fairly easy on websites like Upwork.com to find starter writing jobs.
#8: Sponsored Posts
You can also make money by promoting sponsored posts and ads if you have a website or a large social media following. But, is that really working? Companies are essentially willing to pay for bloggers and influencers to market their products and services.
If you've got a forum that you can cash in, whether it's a blog or a massive Instagram following.
I know bloggers too who are getting $20,000 for a sponsored post. That's pretty crazy, but just showing what's possible.
YouTube is another platform that has made online money-earning possible for people. If you can think of it, there's a ton of YouTube channels out there on any topic, and most people with a large following earn some money in return for their videos and time.
You can actually make money using the platform's own ad network or get sponsored posts via YouTube. Starting a YouTube channel can provide a fun way to obtain some cash on the side if you like to do videos.
#10: Build an Online Community
Last but not least, by building an online community, you can also earn money online, although the monetisation strategies you can follow vary greatly based on your goals. For example, you can build a community by blogging.
You can also create an online forum, and charge membership for users. You could even create a Facebook group, and use your impact to sell and create products there.
The Short answer
There are a number of ridiculous ways to make money online and the ones I covered here are just the start of things. If you do have time, a passion for anything, and at least some creative skill, if you give it enough time, you may be able to build a stream of online income — or several.
But, just don't take my advice for it. Looking online, you'll find hundreds of success stories that you can use to inspire.
One day you could even be creating your own success story. So unless you try you will never know.
